Having never been any good at curling, Barry left his homelands of Scotland to work for the BBC in his early twenties. He quickly became a multi award-winning writer and director on a plethora of high-profile campaigns. He left Aunty for advertising and has been a director for nigh on twenty years, specialising in comedy and shooting plenty of memorable work that's been awarded by D&AD, Cannes Lions, BTA, Golden Circle and the Roses.
He's a dab hand at a movie spoof, loving the craft as much as the gag. He has a keen eye for casting and his latest work has shown that he can get as good a performance out of Pep Guardiola in 90 minutes as Pep can with the most inflated budget in the Premier League.
