Marcus is an award-winning TV writer/director who has progressed into creating short-form advertising work with a comedy sensibility.
Marcus started directing in Television for the BBC and won the International Emmy in 2007. He wrote and directed the Adele prank for the BBC in 2016 ‘When Adele Wasn’t Adele but was Jenny’ which went viral. It has over 72 million views on YouTube. The most hits a single BBC film has ever received.
He also series directed 2018 BBC2’s new comedy series ‘I’ll Get This and is returning to direct Series 2 this month.
Marcus’ fully scripted work includes a recent Amazon Prime Sci-fi Promo for the launch of American Gods Series 2. Receiving much critical acclaim from Freemantle, STARZ and Amazon Prime.
He has just completed two blocks filming scripted drama for October Films.
Recent TVC commercials are a series of two for Greene King IPA and Grey with Rugby and Cricket super stars in real life situations. Plus one TVC for Kelloggs #theperfectbowl campaign for Leo Burnett.
His last commercial job in the U.S. was directing a live stunt for Google in San Francisco. He filmed fans at Super Bowl watching the game live on their Google Nest cameras.
