Andrea Jade Colomb (AJ) is a film director and writer from Johannesburg, now based in the UK. Her love of comedy started early, sparked by a worn-out VHS of Fawlty Towers and evolved into a directing style defined by wit, warmth, and cinematic flair.

After cutting her teeth on behind-the-scenes shoots and assistant gigs, AJ won the Young Director Award in Cannes for her self-made film Visit Iceland—a comedic and honest twist on the tourism film genre. She’s since directed work for brands including Barclays, eBay, T-Mobile, Phillips, and Nivea, proving that even the biggest corporations can take a joke when it’s told well.When she’s not on set, AJ can be found at the gym (fuelled mostly by her love of food) or having deep conversations with her dog. She’s driven by the belief that comedy can make the world a little lighter—one perfectly timed moment at a time.
