David began his career making trashy late-night telly for MTV, C4 and ITV. He grew out of it (eventually) and developed an authentic, intimate and natural style of documentary filmmaking, combining his keen eye and nose for a story with a gift to coax the best out of contributors and collaborators alike. It’s an approach he maintains in his commercial and branded work, striking the balance between what the client wants, what the story needs and what the audience demands.
