Dark Energy's Arni Thor Jonsson just finished up the latest in a series of TVC’s for Gumtree, the UK’s largest classifieds website continuing with the strap line “Opportunity Starts on Gumtree’ this time showcasing the brands hugely popular motors category.
Created by Fold7 the advert was shot across multiple windswept locations such as Cuckmere Haven in East Sussex during the tail end of storm Gertrude; However no stranger to a weather challenge, Icelander Arni brings his characteristic emotive yet amusing flair, taking viewers on an emotional journey this time with a charming older couple who find a red convertible Volkswagen Karmann Ghia using the Gumtree mobile app, and imagine what adventures the car could bring to them.

Arni's third TV advert in the series is due to go live in March and focuses on Gumtree’s jobs category. The ad will tell the story of a young man imagining himself rise up the ranks starting as a kitchen assistant, a role he finds on Gumtree, to run his own business of a Moroccan inspired pop up food truck.
As well as TV, the ‘Opportunity Starts on Gumtree’ campaign runs nationally across VOD, radio, traditional and digital out-of-home, print and online.
