Chris Strong directs a new comical campaign for delectable crisp brand Pringles. The new ‘Discover a World of Flavour’ campaign has been described by creative agency DigitasLBi as ‘a series of laugh-out-loud, socially optimised videos that transport people to their own, vivid Pringles world’.
Using Strong’s vibrant, design led style, the 6 films combine both live action and animation to transport people into a fantasy world of Pringles, juxtasposed against the real-world, social consequences of their experience.
With a huge social media following (24.5million on Facebook alone), the brand launches the campaign on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram in the UK, before expanding its reach across Europe in March.
Chris Strong joins Dark Energy this month, having shut down his former collective Blac Ionica. ‘We were ready to focus on our independent careers and I really liked Dark Energy’s output. It was a very natural and organic joining of minds – I did a project for Royal Mail through Dark Energy and then of course Pringles. Joining the roster felt like the logical next step.’

Strong and Dark Energy worked with animation company Cookie Studio to produce the comical campaign. The director comments of the collaboration, ‘I thoroughly enjoyed working with the guys at Cookie, the whole project was a great experience.’
